EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
Classroom education, as well as, supervised clinical experience is included in the program. Course taught includes: Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, anesthesia, CPR, central service (material management) techniques, and instrument processing. To prepare you in all aspects of hospital central service and instrument processing procedures that will qualify you as entry-level Hospital Central Service/Instrument Processing Technician.

COMPLETION:
Satisfactory completion of all courses including externship within the allowed maximum time frame for the program and a minimum grade average of 70% (C) are required for graduation. Upon completion, you will be awarded a Diploma as a Hospital Central Service Technician.
After successful completion of this program, you are encouraged to become a member of the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM), and to take the IAHCSMM Certified Central Service Technician Examination. We assist you in applying for both the membership and the test. Membership and test fees are not included in your tuition and fees paid to the school.
