Requirements and Procedures
Requirements for admission at Premiere Career College are based upon your career goals, your motivation to succeed, and your ability to benefit from the professional or occupational training you have chosen.
To be considered for Surgical Technology training, you must:
- be at least 18 years of age or are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State of California;
- be a high school graduate or its recognized equivalent;
- pass the College written examination; and
- pass the College interview
As an applicant for the Medical Assisting, Business, or Hospital Central Service Technician programs you must:
- be at least are 18 years of age or are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State of California;
- have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent or have the ability to be trained to perform the tasks associated with the occupation/job for which the
training program chosen was designed for;
- pass the College written examination; and
- pass the College interview
To be considered for the Vocational Nursing Program, applicants must:
- be at least 17 years of age or are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State of California;
- be a high school graduate or its recognized equivalent;
- complete a pre-entrance health examination with required immunizations filled out and signed by a physician and on permanent file in the nursing office;
- have a current CPR card (it is the student's responsibility to re-certify prior to the
expiration of the card); and
- pass the College oral and written entrance exam.

The enrollment procedure begins with filling out an application form designed to ascertain your educational and occupational background.
You will be interviewed and be given a guided tour of the facility and a thorough presentation of the training program you are interested in. If you are deemed qualified you will also be given a timed admission test.
Our Director of Admissions with the guidance of our Director of Education, have the responsibility of reviewing and approving all applications for admission to ensure proper qualification in accordance with our admission standards. Applicants who are not accepted for admission are notified promptly.
Foreign Students
We, at Premiere Career College, are authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. Upon receipt of the student's Enrollment Agreement, test scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), high school or equivalent transcript (with a certified translation into English and an explanation of the grading scale), and appropriate fees, we will determine whether or not to accept the student into their chosen program.
The Enrollment Agreement should be forwarded to us at least ninety (90) days in advance of the selected starting date of the program.
It is unlikely that the immigration authorities will grant foreign students permission to be employed during school. Therefore, as a foreign student you should have sufficient funds available to cover tuition, fees, supplies and living costs.
