Get Trained

Benefit from quality training to run the front office of a medical facility with a competent understanding of both clinical and office procedures, along with knowledge of typing, computers, medical coding and billing, and software applications. Learn patient education and preparation for diagnostic examinations. Develop back-office expertise with knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, laboratory procedures, First Aid, and CPR.


Get Skilled

Become proficient at patient reception, appointment scheduling, patient history taking, medical records management, effective telephone communications, keyboarding, and basic business programs. Establish skills at taking vital signs, EKGs, drawing blood, giving injections, and collecting specimens for laboratory testing. And know how to assist in administering medications and performing minor surgeries.


Get Hired

Secure a career as an entry-level medical assistant performing a variety of front-office administrative duties, or be employed as a ward clerk, EKG, or technician. Or become a phlebotomist in the back office of a doctor’s clinic, medical office or center, hospital, research laboratory, medical school, pharmaceutical or medical insurance company.

As a Medical Assisting student and graduate of Premiere Career College, you will benefit from our Career Development and Placement Assistance Services. Our Career Development staff serves as a liaison between you and the medical community, and job search information and techniques are provided based on the current market needs.

Throughout the Medical Assisting training program, you will receive instructions and insights on everything from résumé preparation to market research techniques to interviewing skills. Premiere Career College also offers helpful reference sources to assist you in locating firms and geographic areas offering medical assisting employment opportunities, locally and nationally.

Additionally, our Career Development staff will also be available to assist in future years in the event you, as part of our alumni, contemplate a change in position.

As an applicant for the Medical Assisting program you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State of California
  • Have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, or have the ability to be trained to perform the tasks associated with the occupation/job for which the training program chosen was designed for
  • Pass the College written examination
  • Pass the College interview

To begin the enrollment procedure at Premiere Career College, you will be asked to fill out an application form designed to ascertain your educational and occupational background. You will then be interviewed, and given a guided tour of our facility and a detailed presentation of the Medical Assisting program. If you are deemed qualified you will also be given a timed admission test.
