CARES Act Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students

UPDATE:(04-08-2021) Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

On April 15, 2020 Premiere Career College signed and submitted to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

Premiere Career College has received, as of April 25, 2020, $373,735.00 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

As of March 31, 2021, Premiere Career College has distributed $366,000.00 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

There are approximately 246 students eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

As of December 31, 2020, 234 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant.

The total allocation of $373,735.00 was divided over 250 students. This number includes the current population of eligible students and future enrollments. Each student will receive $1500.00. Any student who applies and demonstrates need will receive this amount.

Along with the Emergency Financial Aid Grant, the student receives guidance that states the following:

You have been awarded an emergency grant through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This grant is for students in need of aid as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition of Premiere Career College to remote classes and services. This grant should only be used for academically related expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 such as food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, and child-care.

As of December 31, 2020, Premiere Career College has distributed $351,000.00 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

There are approximately 246 students eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

As of December 31, 2020, 234 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant.

As of July 9, 2020, 181 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant.
