Learn patient education and preparation for diagnostic examinations. Develop back-office expertise with knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, laboratory procedures, First Aid, and CPR.
Become proficient at patient reception, appointment scheduling, patient history taking, medical records management, effective telephone communications, keyboarding, and basic business programs. Establish skills at taking vital signs, EKGs, drawing blood, giving injections, and collecting specimens for laboratory testing. And know how to assist in administering medications and performing minor surgeries.
Secure a career as an entry-level medical assistant performing a variety of front-office administrative duties, or be employed as a ward clerk, EKG, or technician. To begin the enrollment procedure at Premiere Career College, you will be asked to fill out an application form designed to ascertain your educational and occupational background. You will then be interviewed, and given a guided tour of our facility and a detailed presentation of the Medical Assisting program. If you are deemed qualified you will also be given a timed admission test.
